What is SI?

Supplemental Instruction (SI) sessions are weekly review sessions for students enrolled in difficult modules. Students registered in these difficult modules get together regularly, and with the help of an SI leader, master the course content.

SI sessions are friendly and informal.

SI provides a chance for you to
                          # get together with students in your class
                      # organise your material
                      # compare notes
                      # discuss important concepts
                      # develop strategies for studying the module
                      # be well prepared for taking your tests and exams

SI is for all students.

All SI sessions are facilitated by a trained SI leader.

What is an SI Leader?

SI leaders are students like you

           #  BUT they have taken the module they facilitate before
           #  PLUS they earned a high mark
           #  AND they are recommended by the faculty

Who is my SI Leader?

The SI leader will come to your class and introduce himself/herself. He/she will arrange times for SI sessions convenient to you.

You can also come and visit the SI office, building 9A - G19, to get a schedule of SI leaders or just drop in for a chat!

When does SI start?

SI starts right after classes start!

 What does SI cost?
